We were asked by Care International to create a TVC to raise funds for clean water projects in developing nations.
The treatment for the spot highlights how much we take clean, running water for granted in developed nations. It contrasts, many of the world’s poor must endure a daily chore to collect water, often from polluted sources with dangerous bacterial microbes.
Celine, who appears in the film has no prospect of schooling to better herself in the long-term so the spot also draws attention to the knock on effects of limited access to water.
Shot on location in the UK and Rwanda, the entire commercial is graphics-led with no voice over. This direction was a concious effort to cut through the VO heavy landscape of its typical media placement.
